Though many will never agree to listen to other news sources. I suggest that the people who are so very inclined to follow "authority" are the same types who pressed the button to the highest level in Stanley Milgram's experiments. Variations of that experiment showed some would break away depending on circumstances.
I tried to have a convo with a liberal friend about why I support DJT. I suggested, in an intentionally neutral way, that one's opinion about Trump, good or bad, depended on where you get your news. He stormed out of the room. Apparently, you can't challenge their authorities.
Visiting a friend I turned on Fox just to hear a show about Jesse James, not even political. Being polite, she just left the room. My observation is they are also incurious.
